Measuring a full 58 inches, the Derby two piece cue from Peradon is made from Ebon, and kiln dried North American Ash. Diligently selected for its strength and straightness, the ash is then spliced with Ebony, Red, and Sycamore veneers to give it a better appearance.
Before the cue is sanded and finished to make it smoother and seamless, it is first turned to achieve its final tapered finish. To avoid various joint problems, the two sections of the joints are turned with precision from one piece of solid brass. They are also fitted to ensure the correct alignment of the brass collar and the Ash grain.
The butt has a name disc with Peradon Derby and a butt end joint that can be easily connected with optional extensions, which are sold separately. It features an Elkmaster tip measuring 9 ½ to 10mm and a solid brass ferrule.
