Crafted by Peradon in England with three sections , the Quasar three section 8 ball pool cue is made from Ebony and North American Ash.
Ash is selected with care and only the straightest and strongest will make the cut. Ebony butt timber is then spliced to the cue by hand and the cue is shaped to the desired characteristic four round point design which is typical of hand spliced cues .
The cue comes with an ornamental Zebrano front splice and Green veneer which is also spliced by hand to the Ebony butt. Shaping it over some time until the desired tapered shape is achieved reduces stress to the timber. It then undergoes sanding and finishing to produce a silky smooth cue.
The cue has ‘quick action’ joint located in the center that made it more portable. There is also a dome joint 8 inches from the butt, which enables players to swiftly remove the bottom cue to reveal a rounded shaft. This allows the players to use the shaft of the cue, ideal for tight spaces.
Both sections of the joints are turned with precision from a single piece of brass to avoid joint problems. Both joints are also fitted to ensure accurate alignment.
The butt has a name disc with the words Peradon Quasar and leather butt pad. The cue features an Elkmaster tip and a solid brass ferrule.
