Made in England by Peradon, the Vortex three section 8 ball pool cue is crafted from Ebony and North American Ash. Ash used for the cue is chosen with care and only the strongest and straightest get selected. Ebony butt timber spliced to it by hand. The cue is shaped over time to result in the characteristic four round point design which is typical of cues spliced by hand. The cue features olivewood front splice and Sycamore and Black veneers are then added and spliced to the Ebony butt. Stress to the timber is reduced by shaping it over time until it gets the desired tapered shape. It then undergoes sanding and finishing to make it Peardon smooth.
The comes with a quick action joint in the center to make it more portable and a dome joint located just 8 inches from the butt of the cue. This dome joint allows players to easily remove the bottom of the cue to reveal a rounded shaft that can be used to play shots in tight places. Joint problems are avoided having the two sections of the joints turned with precision using a single piece of brass and both sections are fitted with accurate alignment a priority . The cue comes with a name disc with the words Peradon Vortex and leather butt pad.
